Todd S. Thomson
EVP Finance & Investments and Chief Financial Officer Citigroup, Inc.
In his role at Citigroup, Mr. Thomson oversees financial reporting,
treasury, investor relations, and Citigroup Global Investments, which
consists of Citigroup, insurance company, and customer funds invested in
various private equity, hedge fund, fixed income, and real estate
investments around the world.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Thomson was Chief Executive Officer of
Citibank's Global Private Bank where he developed and began to implement
a strategic plan setting the bank on a course to become one of the
pre-eminent global providers of financial services to high net-worth
individuals. Prior to heading up the bank, Mr. Thomson was Senior Vice
President, Strategy and Business Development for Citigroup and led the
strategic planning efforts as well as acquisition and divestitures for
Citigroup globally, reporting directly to Citigroup Co-CEOs John S. Reed
and Sanford I. Weill.
Prior to joining Citigroup, Mr. Thomson was Senior Vice President,
Strategic Planning and Business Development for GE Capital, where he led
acquisitions and new market expansion. Mr. Thomson also oversaw funding
and management for internal new ventures and led corporation-wide sales
and marketing practices.
Mr. Thomson received his MBA, with Distinction, from The Wharton School
and his BA in Economics from Davidson College, North Carolina.
