Simon stared his banking career in 1978, has been at UBS Warburg (and its predecessors) since 1986, and based in the U.S. since 1987. Previous positions have included heading SBC Warburg's brokerage unit, global co- head of SBC Warburg's industrial group and President of SBC Warburg Dillon Read. For the last four years he has covered the U.S.private equity community and completed transactions with financial sponsors such as Blackstone and Clayton, Dubilier and Rice. He has broad experience in management and line positions in investment banking. Simon's professional qualifications include Barrister, Middle Temple, London - 1976; Oxford University/Oriel College, Oxford U.K. - MA Jurisprudence - 1975.
