Patrick Finnegan

Patrick Finnegan is a Senior Vice President in the Insurance Group of Moody's Investors Service. Mr. Finnegan joined Moody's in September 1993. He concentrates on the credit ratings of US life, property and casualty and managed care companies as well as Japanese life insurance companies. Before joining Moody's, he had 10 years of diverse experience in public accounting where he reached the partner level with the accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Finnegan also worked for the Securities and Exchange Commission as a review accountant in the Division of Corporation Finance. He also served as a technical manager for the AICPA's Insurance Companies Committee and Accounting Standards Executive Committee. Mr. Finnegan earned a BS/BA in accounting from Georgetown University's School of Business in 1980. Immediately following graduation, he began his professional career in the Washington, DC office of Deloitte Haskins & Sells. Mr. Finnegan is a CFA charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant.
