David Hartzell

Mr. Hartzell is a Managing Director and Co-head of CIBC's Business Services Investment Banking practice, which provides a full range of M&A advisory and capital raising services, including both public and private debt and equity capabilities. Prior to CIBC, Mr. Hartzell was a Managing Director and Co-head of Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown's Business Services group. He was at Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown for ten years, and started off in Alex. Brown's Restructuring Group, where he provided restructuring advisory services to debtors and creditors, both in and out of bankruptcy. Prior to this, Mr. Hartzell spent four years with GE Capital's Leveraged Buyout group. Mr. Hartzell received an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1988 and a BA in government from Dartmouth College in 1983.
