Christopher Johnson is a managing director and senior product originator in the Leveraged Finance Group at Deutsche Bank. He is also a member of the management committee for the Debt Finance Group for the Americas. He is responsible for the origination of leveraged finance products in the media, telecom and general industrial sectors in the Americas. He started at Deutsche Bank in December 2001, after working at Merrill Lynch for seventeen years, most recently as Co-head and Chairman of the Global Leveraged Finance Group. In Mr. Johnson's career, he has executed transactions in every aspect of leverage finance including numerous LBOs. Mr. Johnson has an M.B.A. from The Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Virginia, and a B. S. (cum laude) from Washington and Lee University. Prior to business school, Mr. Johnson was a nuclear submarine officer on the USS Finback (SSN - 670), a fast attack submarine.
