Professor Metrick has been teaching at Wharton in 1999; previously he taught at Harvard. He received his PhD from Harvard University in 1994 and a BA from Yale University in 1989. Mr. Metrick has been highly decorated throughout his tenure with an awards list including Faculty Research Fellow, Asset Pricing, National Bureau of Economic Research, 1998; Joseph R Levenson Memorial Teaching Award (junior faculty), Harvard University, 1998; Roslyn Abramson Teaching Award, Harvard University, 1998; David W. Hauck Award for Outstanding Teaching, 2001; Undergraduate Division Excellence in Teaching Award, 2001; Graduate Division Excellence in Teaching Award, 2001. His research areas include venture capital, private equity, investment management and decision-making under uncertainty.
