David Musto is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he has taught since receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1995. Prior to graduate school he worked for Roll and Ross Asset Management in California.
Dr. Musto's research has focused primarily on mutual funds, addressing issues of performance persistence, fee-setting, trading, and survivor bias. He has also done extensive research into the equity lending market and its implications for trade execution, option prices, dividend arbitrage and vote trading. His recent work also includes research on consumer credit and political economy.
