Mr. Omar S. Amanat was the Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and majority shareholder of TRADESCAPE Corp., a next generation brokerage, ECN and technology firm for professional investors. Mr. Amanat founded TRADESCAPE in 1997 at the age of 24 with an initial investment of $150,000. Mr. Amanat sold the firm for $280 million to E*TRADE in 2002. To grow the Company, Mr. Amanat raised approximately $100 million from strategic partners such as Salomon Smith Barney, Morgan Stanley, SOFTBANK and Warburg Pincus.

In 2001, TRADESCAPE was honored in Red Herring Magazines' prestigious list of 100 companies as "Most Likely to Change the World". Mr. Amanat was regarded as one of the leading young innovators shaping the future of Wall Street. TRADESCAPE traded over 10% of NASDAQ's daily trading volume.

Prior to forming TRADESCAPE, Mr. Amanat was part of the early team at Datek Online, which was purchased by Ameritrade for $1.3 billion in April 2002. He left Datek to co-found CyberBlock, the predecessor of CyberTrader, which was acquired by Charles Schwab for $488 million in February 2000.

Mr. Amanat attended the University of Pennsylvania and the top-ranked Wharton School of Business.
