Michael Ching,

UBS Investment Bank

Michael Ching joined UBS Investment Bank in July 2002 as Managing Director and head of the firm's U.S. technology, media and telecom sector sales team. This team has been an important contributor to UBS' ranking as the top global institutional sales force in 2003. Prior to joining UBS, he spent eight years at Merrill Lynch as a senior communications equipment analyst, covering companies such as Cisco, QUALCOMM and Lucent. Michael had been recognized by Institutional Investor, Greenwich Surveys and the Wall Street Journal as one of the top analysts on the street. Before that, he spent ten years at AT&T Bell Laboratories, where he ultimately led a team that applied advanced linear programming techniques to redesign the core network topology. Michael has an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, an MSEE from Stanford University and a BSEE from Rutgers University.
