Ms. Swintek is Managing Director, Head of U.S. Leveraged Finance Group and the U.S. Representative of the Global Structured Finance Division of BNP Paribas Group. She is a founding member of the Merchant Banking Group Executive Committee (Chair), the U.S. Leveraged Finance Business Council (Chair), and a member of the U.S. Business Council, the North American Strategic Planning Committee and the Global Structured Finance Management Committee.
Ms. Swintek joined the Board of Trustees of the College of Mount St. Vincent in 1998 and is a member of its Executive and Development Committees. She is a member of the Committee of 200 and the Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Health Care Industry Foundation. Ms. Swintek founded BNP New York's Structured Finance Group in 1990. The U.S. Leveraged Finance Group at BNP Paribas Group is positioned among the leading debt arrangers of financings for LBOs, recaps and acquisitions, delivering senior, mezzanine, high yield, and asset backed underwriting and structuring capability for companies in a broad range of industries, including consumer products, healthcare, education and media. With professional staff of 50 bankers, the Group operates from five offices located in the U.S.
Ms. Swintek also founded BNP Paribas' Global High Yield Group in 2000. She served as its Global Head for three years while simultaneously serving as Head of Merchant Banking Group prior to being appointed to her current position. The High Yield Group achieved #4 ranking among underwriters of European high yield bonds under her leadership. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Ms. Swintek held senior positions in risk management, international banking, and acquisition finance at Irving Trust Company. Ms. Swintek holds a BA in Economics from the College of Mount Saint Vincent and an MBA in Finance from New York University.
