Building on The Wharton School's rich tradition in finance, the Wharton Finance Conference is the pre-eminent student-organized finance forum in the country. With an expected 400 people in attendance, the Conference will bring together 2 keynote speakers and more than 30 panelists including industry leaders, finance professionals, and scholars to discuss the theme – From Wall Street to Beijing: Thriving in a Changing Environment.

Although the U.S. economy continues to gain strength, markets in nations such as China and India are growing at an astounding pace. How will the U.S. economy respond to this robust competition? How will U.S. firms fare against counterparts from across the globe? How will financial institutions and corporations respond to a new regulatory environment? The 2005 Wharton Finance Conference will attempt to tackle these challenging questions, with six focused panels addressing some of the most pressing issues in the field of finance:

The Finance Industry Career Fair will run concurrently with the Wharton Finance Conference at the Hyatt Regency at Penn's Landing on October 14, 2005. The Career Fair is intended to provide Wharton MBA students the opportunity to speak with leading recruiters to learn more about summer and full-time job opportunities in Corporate Finance, Sales & Trading, Equity Research and Capital Markets. Note that this portion of the event is limited to Wharton MBA students only.
