Ms. Beeson joined Wachovia in June 2004. She heads the M & A effort for the Real Estate and Media & Communications groups and is a senior member of the Healthcare and Industrial Growth Practice. Ms. Beeson sits on the firm's Investment Banking Commitment Committee. She has 18 years of investment banking experience, most recently as Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, where she worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group. During her 11-year tenure at Morgan Stanley, Ms. Beeson worked with industrial, healthcare and consumer companies. She has extensive sell-side, buy-side, and restructuring advisory experience with both public and private companies. Ms. Beeson has significant hostile transaction experience, including Weyerhaeuser's acquisition of both Willamette Industries and TrusJoist International and Phelps Dodge's acquisition of Cyprus Amax and proposed acquisition of Asarco. Ms. Beeson began her career in 1987 in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Salomon Smith Barney, focusing on leveraged acquisitions and restructurings. Ms. Beeson graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.
