Dennis K. Berman is the Wall Street Journal's Mergers and Acquisitions reporter, responsible for all M&A coverage in the U.S. Mr. Berman joined the paper in 2001 as a telecom reporter and technology columnist. He covered the historic financial collapse and subsequent accounting scandals at companies such as Lucent, Global Crossing and WorldCom.
Mr. Berman was one of the Journal reporters awarded the 2003 Pulitzer Prize in explanatory journalism for a series on corporate scandals. His work will be honored in the 2005 anthology of "Best Newspaper Writing" published by the American Society of Newspaper Editors. A former Staff Editor at BusinessWeek magazine, he began his career at BusinessWeek Online, and was part of the team that won the 2000 National Magazine Award for Excellence in New Media.
The Louisville, Kentucky, native is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and a guest lecturer on journalism at New York University.
