Martin Farina

Martin Farina is a Managing Director in the North American Financial Institutions Group based in New York. Mr. Farina has been in JPMorgan's Financial Institutions Group for over 10 years. Prior to covering financial institutions in the US and Canada, he was Head of the Latin American Financial Institutions Group. Mr. Farina has been involved in numerous transactions in the banking and insurance sectors including mergers and acquisitions, bank bailouts, and capital raising. He has done extensive work for several clients such as LLoyds TSB, BBVA, Santander, Royal & Sun Alliance, Mizuho, Ford Credit, Scotiabank, among others. Prior to joining JPMorgan, Mr. Farina worked for the World Bank Group (IFC) in their Washington, D.C. and Sao Paulo offices.

Mr. Farina graduated with a BS in Economics from the Wharton School in 1991. He did extensive econometric work as a direct assistant to Dr. Lawrence Klein, Nobel Laureate in Economics, in 1990-1991. He is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and German.
