Roger Hoit is a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Financial Sponsors Group in North America. Roger has been a Managing Director in the Financial Sponsors Group based in New York since 2000. Roger is responsible for a number of the Firm's relationships with Financial Sponsor clients including Kohlberg, Kravis & Roberts, Thomas H. Lee, Ripplewood Holdings, Madison Dearborn Partners and JPMorgan Partners.
Roger spent 14 years on Wall Street before joining Morgan Stanley. From 1999 to 2000, Roger was a Managing Director and Co-Head of Leveraged Finance in the US for Societe Generale. From 1996 to 1999, Roger was a Managing Director for Gleacher Nat West and Gleacher & Co, where he was responsible for origination and execution of the Firm's High Yield business. From 1986 to 1996, Roger held various positions within the M &A, Merchant Banking and Corporate Finance departments at PaineWebber Incorporated.
Roger received a BA in Economics in 1986 from Amherst College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
