Jon Kroeper is Counselor to Commissioner Paul S. Atkins of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Prior to rejoining the SEC in September 2005, Mr. Kroeper spent the past five and a half years at Instinet Group Incorporated, first as Vice President Regulatory Policy/Strategy and then as First Vice President and Associate General Counsel, where he served as Instinet's lead regulatory counsel. Mr. Kroeper began his career at the SEC in 1994, where he was Senior Counsel in the Division of Market Regulation and later Counselor to Commissioner Laura S. Unger. Mr. Kroeper is a graduate of Georgetown University and Chicago-Kent College of Law.
