Sam joined Gray Ghost in 2004 to focus on attracting investors to microfinance, encouraging participation through an increasing number of investment vehicles within the industry and to assist the industry in developing capital market instruments. The overall goal is to raise the visibility and activity in microfinance investments both by number of participants and amount of dollars invested.

Sam spent 30 years in banking, the last 25 of which were with Wachovia. His career included senior management responsibility in Wealth Management, International, Treasury Services, Corporate Banking, Capital Markets and Corporate Finance. Sam is past Chairman and interim Executive Director of the Atlanta Ballet, a board member of the Atlanta Opera and former alumni class president of Williams College, Williamstown, MA.
