Robert F. Cavanaugh is a Managing Director in DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners, the real estate private equity group of Credit Suisse. A member of the fund’s Investment Committee, he is responsible for sourcing and executing real estate investments throughout the western United States.

Mr. Cavanaugh joined Credit Suisse from Deutsche Banc Alex Brown where he founded and oversaw that firm’s real estate investment banking effort on the west coast for four years. Prior to Deutsche Bank, he spent a total of ten years working in the Real Estate Investment Banking groups of Goldman, Sachs and Co. and LaSalle Partners.

Mr. Cavanaugh earned a BS in Economics with honors from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 1981 and an MBA in Management from the Harvard Business School in 1985.
