Brendan DillonBrendan Dillon
Managing Director, Head of Loan Sales
UBS

In the four years since Brendan Dillon joined the firm as the head of US loan sales, UBS has changed from an institution with no presence in the US bank loan market into a recognized force in underwriting and distribution.

Dillon has worked in loan syndications throughout his career. He started with Chase Manhattan in 1993, gaining experience in the structuring side of the business.

Four years later, he joined Lehman Brothers’ sales team. In 2000, head of syndications, Chris Ryan, hired Dillon to lead a seven-strong sales team, as UBS launched its bid to win US market share.

In the tough markets that followed the bursting of the technology, media and telecoms bubble, UBS has performed strongly in distributing leveraged buy-out deals and mid-market lending. The bank has also been a leader in structuring second lien paper and selling it to investors.
