Professor Michel Fleuriet is the Harry W. Reynolds International Adjunct Professor of Finance at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Prof. Fleuriet joined Wharton after a distinguished career in investment banking. He began his career practicing law at the Paris Bar in 1969 and subsequently went on to found VIF, an M&A boutique firm. In 1980, he became Director of Mergers and Acquisitions, Worms & Cie and in 1989 he was appointed CEO of Chase Manhattan France. He joined Merrill Lynch France as Chairman in 1991 and led the Firm until 1999 at which time he became Chairman of HSBC France where he served as Chairman until 2001.
Prof. Fleuriet holds a Doctorate in Law from the University of Paris (Suma cum Laude) and a PhD from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
