Phil Mintz is editor of BusinessWeek.com’s Business Schools channel, winner of a 2007 National Magazine Award for best Interactive Service. Prior to joining BusinessWeek in 2005, Mr. Mintz was a reporter and editor for Newsday in Long Island, N.Y., for more than two decades, covering business, science and technology, and world and local news. He was a member of the Newsday staff awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 1997 for spot news reporting and has received a number of other journalism awards. Mr. Mintz has written for a wide variety of publications and was a contributor to “Joltin’ Joe DiMaggio,’ published by Carroll & Graf, an anthology of writing about the baseball legend.

Mr. Mintz earned a B.A. in English from Queens College of the City University of New York.
