Jamil Swati leads Drawbridge Global Macro’s private and illiquid corporate investment effort in Emerging Markets. Jamil joined Fortress Investment Group in 2005 and is based in the New York office. Prior to Fortress, Jamil was a Portfolio Manager at Aeneas Capital Management, an emerging markets long/short equity and special situations hedge fund, where he focused on opportunities in Eastern Europe, Asia, Middle East, North Africa and Latin America. Before Aeneas, Jamil worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department of Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he was involved in various domestic and international transactions in the automotive, industrial, defense and food service sectors. Jamil graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and received an M.B.A from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
