On behalf of The Wharton School, we are delighted to welcome you to the 8th Annual Wharton Finance Conference.

We are proud to continue the tradition of hosting one of the finest student-run Finance Conferences. This year, we have endeavored to further prior success by holding the Conference in New York City for the first time. With this move, we hope to expand the appeal of the Conference to a wider audience, including more professionals and students from schools across the country.

In line with our vision to host the leading Finance Conference of its kind, we are pleased to offer a rich content of insightful keynote addresses, educational panels and intellectual debates. This year's theme, "Perspectives on Global Finance: Building a Competitive Edge", will address the changing face of global competition. With eight panels, ranging from emerging markets to latest innovations in finance and from trends in mergers and acquisitions and private equity to capital markets competitiveness, we hope to present a myriad of intellectual and practical challenges, appealing to participants with diverse backgrounds and interests.

The Conference brings together an unprecedented range and caliber of participants, offering a unique opportunity for attendees to socialize, network and exchange ideas with peers from across the financial sector. We hope that this will be a rewarding occasion for all.

We are honored that distinguished speakers, panelists, moderators, faculty and staff have agreed to participate in the Conference and we thank them for their invaluable contribution.
